Welcome to our Partner Letters Archive . . .

Dear Partner,

The grace of God is the greatest treasure in the universe. It is so wonderful, so far reaching, so rich and full that the human mind has difficulty grasping all that our Father has truly provided for us through the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ. For example, consider these two verses;

Gal 4:6-7 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Because we have all heard good sermons in the past telling us that we are sons and daughters of God, we immediately acknowledge that fact mentally when discussing the subject with our friends. But when the tests and trials of life come our way and the enemy is assaulting us through difficult circumstances it seems that we quickly forget that we are "sons and joint heirs" of God through Jesus Christ. Something inside of us tends to cower in the face of problems and our prayers become as those of beggars and slaves, not the prayers of "sons" who have been given authority and dominion to rule and reign in life by Jesus Christ [Rom 5:17]. When we take the position of "beggars" in the kingdom of God our enemy simply sits back and laughs, saying "They still don't know who they are." It is time for us to meditate scriptures such as these and give ourselves to much prayer in the spirit until the Holy Spirit Himself writes on the tablet of our hearts forever, "YE ARE SONS AND JOINT HEIRS OF GOD THROUGH CHRIST!"

As I was meditating this passage in Galatians and praying in the spirit, the Holy Ghost drew my attention to the portion that says, "God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." Then the Spirit of the Lord said, "Would you like to know what the Spirit of His Son is always crying out within you?" Of course I said yes and He led me to the only time in the New Testament where the word "Abba" came from the lips of Jesus:

Mark 14:36 And he said, Abba, Father, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE UNTO THEE; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

This is the clarion call of the sons and daughters of God, "ABBA, FATHER, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE UNTO THEE!" In the face of every circumstance, no matter what the enemy sends our way as a test or a trial, Christ within us is boldly proclaiming that ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE, and so should we! Jesus did not shrink back from His assignment to endure the cross and we do not shrink back from our assignments in the kingdom of God. But at the same time, we never cower in defeat when the enemy sends tests and trials to defeat us. We are "sons of God and joint heirs through Christ." We reign in life by HIM! [Rom 5:17]

Thank you for your gift to GCM. Sue and I love you and appreciate you. We thank God for your generous and giving heart. God bless you!

Your friend and co-laborer,

Gary Carpenter
